Purpose

Established in June of 2021, the Mayor’s LGBTQ+ Advisory Board fosters intentional collaboration with City officials to advocate for, protect and enhance the lives of Syracuse’s LGBTQ+ communities. This board creates a space for leaders from and members of the LGBTQ+ Community to collaborate with one another. The board also serves as a mechanism for representatives of the LGBTQ+ community to provide input and feedback to the City on matters of policy, programming, procedure and training. Working together, members of the LGBTQ+ Advisory Board will help prioritize needs and opportunities as identified by the community.
