The Parking Violations Bureau (PVB) handles parking ticket disputes and hearings.
Did you receive a parking ticket? You must pay or dispute the ticket within 20 days, or a penalty will occur. Penalties continue to accrue through 90 days. After 90 days the ticket will go into collection and is no longer eligible for dispute. If you have 3 or more tickets in collections your vehicle is eligible for booting.
Note: Mail-in payments will be processed based on their US Postal Service postmark. All payments not made within the allotted time period will be subject to a late penalty.
You may get fines or penalties for parking violations like:
- Overtime parking
- Odd/even parking
- Unregistered vehicle
- Uninspected vehicle
If you get fined for a violation and don’t think you deserve it, you can dispute it by requesting a hearing. A judge will listen to what you have to say and then decide based on the evidence.
