Disabled Parking Permits and Meter Waivers

If you have a  severe disability, you can apply for a:

  • Permit to park in disabled spaces (which you hang from your rearview mirror when you’re parked)
  • Parking waiver, so you don’t need to pay at parking meters

Your health care provider will need to diagnose you and help fill out your application for these permits.

You may have a severe disability if you:

  • Have limited use of your legs
  • Can’t walk 200 feet without stopping
  • Have certain health conditions that affect the heart, lungs, joints, and brain

You can get more specifics about severe disabilities in the permit application.
