Ice Skating In Clinton Square

Overview

The Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs operates three (3) skating rinks throughout the City of Syracuse: Clinton Square Ice Rink, The John Dunn Ice Rink at Meachem Park and Sunnycrest Park Ice Rink. We encourage you to visit all three rinks, as each rink has its own unique style and feel. 

Open Skate Rink Fees

  • Adult Admission: $5.00
  • Junior Admission (12 and under): $3.00
  • Senior Admission (55+): 3.00
  • Skate Rental: $5.00

Clinton Square Ice Rink

Located in the heart of downtown Syracuse, the Clinton Square Ice rink is one of the city's most popular destinations. The rink opened in 2001 as part of a complete renovation in an effort to attract visitors downtown. More than 20,000 skaters enjoy the open-air facility each year. The skating season at Clinton Square begins the last week of November and runs until March 1. The rink is open weather permitting, so please call in advance at 315-423-0129. All youth 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

John Dunn Ice Rink

Located in the Valley on the City's south side. The John Dunn Ice Rink at Meachem Park is fully enclosed and open year-round. The rink is home to many local organizations including Valley Hockey, Corcoran Hockey, and several youth organizations. The rink is one of the city's most popular destinations and a favorite spot for many of the local hockey teams.

Sunnycrest Rink

Owned and operated by the City of Syracuse, is located on the City's east side next to Henninger High School. The rink is home to many local organizations including the Syracuse Speed Skaters, Broomball leagues and several youth organizations. The skating season at Sunnycrest begins in November and runs until March 31.
