Join us and local vendors on the Creekwalk for a day of exploration, wellness and fun for the whole family. This is not to be missed, because it's unique to the Creek!

The department will be hosting a free Yard Tree Giveaway for property owners in the city of Syracuse. City of Syracuse property owners are eligible to receive up to two trees per address to plant in their yards. Ten different tree species are available to choose from. To learn more and pre-register, visit https://bit.ly/freeyardtrees. Walk-ups will be accepted while supplies last.

Vendor FAQs

About the Mile Marketplace:

The event is Saturday, September 23, 2023 (rain or shine) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Onondaga Creekwalk at the trailhead on Hunt Ave. Vendor spaces are aligned in linear fashion along the Creekwalk path near Kirk Park.

Application Information:

How will I know if my application is approved?

Complete this application and submit photos of your work. We have a limited number of spaces available for local artists and craft vendors, food vendors, and information booths/community organizations.   Applications are due by August 18, 2023, or as space permits. Submission of application does not guarantee a spot. Vendors will receive an approval or denial within 7-10 business days. There is no fee this year for the Mile Marketplace vendors.

Booth Information:

What can I sell?

Only handmade/handcrafted items may be sold at the fair.

Can I sell food?

All food vendors must also have an Onondaga County Health Permit and provide Certificate of Liability Insurance, listing the City of Syracuse as additionally insured. A copy can be sent to: 412 Spencer Street, 13204 Attn: Mile Marketplace Insurance or email parksyouthrecreation@syr.gov. All food vendors must be self-contained.

Can I apply for more than one booth?

No. 

Will I have access to electricity?

No. 

Where will my booth be located? 

Booth placements are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. A map with booth locations will be emailed approximately two weeks prior to the event. Booths will be labeled on the day of the event. Vendor spaces are 10'x10'.  Vendors may begin setting up at 7 a.m. on the day of the event and should be ready by 9:30 a.m. Be prepared to cart/carry supplies from drop-off area to booth location. Dollys are suggested. You may not drive within the Marketplace unless you have a food truck or trailer. 

Do you provide tables, chairs, or tents?

Vendors must provide their own tent (weights only), tables, chairs and signage as needed. No power or generators available. Vehicles will not be permitted on Creekwalk path for set-up or breakdown.

Parking:

Where can I park?

Vendor parking is available along Onondaga Creek Blvd. Public parking is available on neighborhood streets outside of the Marketplace. Please abide by the road parking signs.

Vendor Setup: 7 to 9:30 a.m.  Vehicles will not be able to access the trail/path.  You can unload items near the parking lot and move them into your designated vendor space along the path.  Vendors will have an assigned set-up time range.

Vendor Parking: During the event, vendors may park vehicles along Onondaga Creek Blvd, between Hunt Ave and South Ave.  This will be just across the field from vendor booths

Accessible Parking: will be available in the Creekwalk Parking lot at Hunt Ave.  Public parking is available in other neighborhood streets (obey posted street signs). No public parking on Hunt Ave and Onondaga Creek Pkwy.
