Mayor Walsh Announces Road Reconstruction Project on Walnut Avenue

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced road reconstruction projects beginning Tuesday, June 28 on Walnut Avenue and Walnut Place. Crews will mill (remove the top layer of existing pavement) and repave Walnut Avenue from Canal Street to Waverly Avenue, and also Walnut Place from Harrison Street to Waverly Avenue.

Work on both roads is expected to take place between 7:00am and 5:00pm, during which the roads will remain open with lane closures and flaggers.

Actual project start dates and timeframes are contingent on favorable weather.
