City to Host Open Houses to Present Results of Syracuse Housing Study

Published on May 17, 2023

The City of Syracuse Department of Neighborhood & Business Development will host two public open houses to present the final results of the Syracuse Housing Study. Attendees can learn about existing housing conditions, investment patterns, market trends, and housing needs within the City of Syracuse.

The first open house will take place on Tuesday, May 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the North Side Learning Center at 501 Park Street. The second open house will take place on Wednesday, May 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the South Side Innovation Center at 2610 S. Salina Street.

The upcoming sessions are the second series of open houses held around the Syracuse Housing Study. Two open houses were held in March, as well as a virtual open house, to share initial findings from the study.

The study findings will help to inform the development of a citywide housing strategy, neighborhood plans, and future housing policies. The study began in October 2022 and will conclude in May 2023, when the final study will be available to the public.
