On Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at around 10:04 P.M., Officers responded to 2002 E. Fayette Street for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a shots fired, and the scene was investigated. Around the same time, a 17-year-old female victim arrived at Crouse Hospital, by private transport, with a gunshot wound to the back stemming from the incident location.
The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
