On Sunday, October 8th, 2023, at around 12:44 A.M., Officers responded to the 1700 block of Burnet Avenue for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a disturbance and developed information that a fight with a knife had just taken place.
A short time later, a 23-year-old female with stab wounds to her face and chest arrived at Crouse Hospital by private transport, and a 20-year-old female arrived at Upstate Hospital by private vehicle with a stab wound to the thigh. Both victims are expected to survive.
The investigation revealed a suspect, Nireasha White, 25. White is accused of the stabbing during a fight with the victims in the 1700 block of Burnet Avenue prior to police arrival. White was arrested and booked for Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.
