Two Stabbed on Burt Street

On Saturday, November 11th, 2023, at around 12:09 P.M., Officers responded to the 300 block of Burt Street for a stabbing investigation. At around the same time, Officers responded to Upstate Hospital, where two stabbing victims arrived with injuries stemming from Burt Street. One victim was a 44-year-old male with a stab wound to the stomach and the other was a 78-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to his body. Both victims are expected to survive.

 

The investigation revealed a suspect, Virginia Finch, 44, of Syracuse. Finch is accused of stabbing both victims while in the 300 block of Burt Street. As a result, Finch was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault in the Second Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
