Mayor Walsh Announces Road Reconstruction Projects Starting this Week

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced multiple road reconstruction projects beginning this week across the City of Syracuse.  Crews are milling and paving the following streets: 

  • E. Fayette Street - Allen Street to Croly Street
  • Jasper Street – Highland Street to Oak Street
  • McKinley Avenue - S. Salina Street to dead end
  • McAllister Avenue- S. Salina Street to dead end
  • McClure Avenue - S. Salina Street to S. State Street
  • Onondaga Creek Boulevard - South Avenue to Hunt Avenue
  • S. State Street - McClure Avenue to Brighton Avenue

Onondaga Creek Boulevard and Jasper Street will be closed to traffic during reconstruction.  Other roads will remain open with lane closures while work is being done. Road reconstruction is expected to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and be completed in about one week. Actual project start dates and timeframes are contingent upon favorable weather.
