Design Phase
The City of Syracuse Department of Parks & Recreation and design consultant, Barton & Loguidice, will hold two additional Community Design Sessions to envision a new Minority Veterans & Service Members Memorial planned for Kirk Park. The design session will be at the Kirk Park Community Center, located at 300 W Borden Ave, Syracuse, NY 13205 on:

• Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 12 to 3 p.m.
• Thursday, Sept. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Community members are invited to share their ideas with designers in small group discussions. During this session attendees will learn about project goals, constraints, and opportunities while giving input for the conceptual design of the new memorial. 

The project is funded through $250,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated by the Syracuse Common Council.
