Shooting with Injuries on I-81 South

On Sunday, May 14^th 2023 at around 3:44 a.m. officers with the Syracuse Police Department responded to University Hospital, located at 750 East Adams Street, for a report of shooting victim who was dropped off in a private vehicle. Upon arrival, the police officers located a 22-year-old female, who had been shot in the hand and chest area at least one time. The victim reported that she was in a vehicle on Interstate 81, traveling south bound near Adams Street, when at least one bullet entered her vehicle and struck her. The victim remains at University where she is being treated for her injuries. Those injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
