The Syracuse Lead Grant Program exists as a resource to assist qualifying homeowners and tenants with lead remediation funds.

How Onondaga County Helps

The Onondaga County Health Department (OCHD) Lead Poisoning Prevention Program provides information and services that address the effect lead has on children's health, growth and development. The county lead program collaborates with the Lead Hazard Control Office to identify and enforce lead-based paint hazards in the home.

City residents should contact the County Health Department if concerned their child may have lead poisoning and for additional information on blood lead testing, lead poisoning prevention, and follow-up services for children with lead poisoning.
