NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
FOR
BID #25-196 NSEW INTERCONNECT PHASE II PIN 3757.08
Sealed proposals will be received at Division of Purchase of the City of Syracuse, New York, 213 City Hall, Syracuse, New York, 13202, on February 26th 2025, for the Bid #25-196 NSEW Interconnect Phase II until 2:30 p.m. On the same day and immediately thereafter, the sealed proposals will be opened and publicly read by the Director of the Office of Management & Budget, Division of Purchase of the City of Syracuse, New York.
The project provides for the extension of the existing traffic signal interconnect along James St. & a section along S. Salina St., connecting back to the traffic control center located at the City of Syracuse DPW offices.
There is a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation requirement for this project of 6%. The affirmative action goals include a minority utilization of 3.8% and utilization goal of 6.9% for women.
Sets of plans and specifications for the work under this contract shall only be obtained from the Director of the Office of Management & Budget, Division of Purchase upon deposit of a new check or money order in the amount of $100.00, payable to the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Syracuse. Checks transferred from other jobs will not be accepted.
To have bid documents mailed, please provide us with your Fed-Ex account number to be billed directly.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
Pre-bid Conference: The City of Syracuse has scheduled a pre-bid conference in order to review all of the specific requirements of this contract. Attendance at the pre-bid is recommended but is optional. The pre-bid conference is scheduled for February 5th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. to be held at The Dept. of Engineering Conference Room, 4th Floor, City Hall, 233 East Washington Street, Syracuse, New York 13202.
