Purchase Division

The Purchase Division offers Public Works Construction projects and Professional Services contracts for vendors as required for the City. The Onondaga County Purchase Department currently contracts all goods & commodities, non-professional services and some smaller projects for Construction and Professional Services for the City of Syracuse's needs. The coordinated entities conduct competitive bidding, publish Requests for Proposals, prepare specifications for contracts and award contracts.

The Purchase Division procures insurance policy documentation as required for executed City contracts.

 

Changes to City Procurement

OpenGov

The City has transitioned to a new eProcurement solution, OpenGov, for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. You must register for an OpenGov account to begin receiving email notifications for City’s Bid/RFP opportunities. Registration is 100% free for vendors.

New and Existing Vendors

We look forward to growing opportunities for existing vendors and new vendors. The City offers Construction and Professional Services contracts for vendors. The department buys materials, supplies, and products through the Onondaga County Purchase Department.
