Fayette Firefighters Memorial Park

Firefighters Monument at night

Surrounded by a beautiful cast iron fence, this park is home to two monuments and a memorial dedicated to brave fallen firefighters of the Syracuse Fire Department.

Hamilton White Monument stands on the west end of the Park and is a statue and seat in memory of Hamilton S. White who lost his life at a fire on March 13, 1899. It was given by fellow fireman and other citizens. It was unveiled on June 27, 1905.

Monument to Fireman stands on the east side of the Park and is to the men who lost their lives in the Collins Block disaster February 2, 1939.

Phillip Eckel Memorial stands in the center of the park and was dedicated Syracuse Fire Chief who lost his life at a fire on June 1, 1886.
