Statement by Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh on appointment of
Anthony Davis as superintendent of Syracuse City School District:
“I commend the Syracuse City School District board on its appointment of Tony Davis as superintendent. I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Tony since he was appointed interim superintendent. From our first meeting, I was impressed with his depth of knowledge of the district and his ideas for improvements to our schools. Tony is widely respected by teachers, staff, administrators and families. I’m confident these relationships and his extensive experience in our schools will be good for the District and our children. I look forward to continuing our productive partnership.”
