Statement by Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh:
“I’m grateful for State Supreme Court Judge Danielle Fogel’s appointment of new management at the Vincent Apartments, the last of the large residential properties in Syracuse owned by Green National. The Judge’s ruling means that Clear Investment Group, which has also taken over management of the former Green properties on James Street, including the Skyline, is responsible for the management of the Vincent effective today. Clear submitted a management plan to the Court to assume the duties that been in the hands of a Court-appointed receiver to address the ‘significant, urgent public health and habitability concerns’ at the property. Because of Green National’s mismanagement, Vincent residents have been forced to endure unacceptable living conditions. The City will continue doing everything it can to ensure the property meets the safety and health codes of the City.”
