The City of Syracuse will complete road reconstruction along West Genesee Street between South Salina Street and North Clinton Street beginning Monday, August 28. Crews will excavate, curb and repave the road surface. The final pavement layer will be placed at a later date after all the utility covers are reset.
The road will be closed to traffic during working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Detour signage will be in place. After 5:00 p.m., one lane in each direction will be open to traffic. Work is expected to be completed in about two weeks; actual project timeframe is contingent on favorable weather.
