On Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at around 4:16 p.m., officers with the Syracuse Police Department responded to 412 Union Place, the Union Place Market, for a reported shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, the officers located a 38-year-old male shooting victim inside of the store. The victim was learned to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The victim was transported to University Hospital by ambulance, where he is being treated for his injuries. The victim remains in critical condition.
The incident location was determined to be near the intersection of Union Place and North Townsend Street.
