The Inner Harbor is a city-owned park that includes 2.9-acres, located at 396 West Kirkpatrick Street. The park space currently features off-street parking, a waterfront amphitheater, and a portion of the City’s Onondaga Creekwalk trail, which is also part of the New York State Empire State Trail system. The space is a frequent pass-through location for trail users and provides easy parking and access to the trail network. Cor Development Company hosts several larger festivals and events throughout the year.
On February 13, 2024, 5th District Councilor Jimmy Monto submitted a proposal to name a portion of the Syracuse Inner Harbor "Progress Park". A public hearing was held on March 11, 2024 in the Common Council Chambers. Appendix A(PDF, 556KB)
