On Monday, December 5th, 2022, at around 10:47 P.M., Officers responded to 728 Park Avenue for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 52-year-old male with a stab wound to the arm. The victim was treated on scene and is expected to survive.
The suspect, who is also the victim's sister, Christine Demko, 47, was still on the scene when the police arrived. Demko was quickly taken into custody a short time later. The investigation revealed that Demko stabbed the victim in the arm during a dispute that the two had inside the residence prior to police arrival.
Demko was arrested and booked for Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.
