Shooting with Injuries on Roney Lane

On Friday, December 23
rd
2022, at around 5:53 p.m. Members of the Syracuse Police Department responded to the 100 block of East Matson Avenue for a reported shooting with injuries call that occurred in the 100 block of Roney Lane. Upon arrival, officers located the shooting victim who arrived in a private vehicle. The victim, a 20-year-old male, was found to have been struck in the left leg by gunfire, which he sustained after being shot while in the 100 block of Roney Lane. The victim was transported by an American Medical Response ambulance to Upstate Hospital where he is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The victim remains in stable condition.
The investigation is active and ongoing, and anyone with information is strongly encouraged to call the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222 or visit syracusepolice.org and utilize the tip411 service for anonymous reporting.
