Temporary Closure of City Offices for Move to One Park Place

The City of Syracuse is temporarily closing its offices in City Hall Commons at 201 E. Washington Street beginning Monday, August 21st to move to a new location at One Park Place, 300 South State Street. The move is part of the City’s sale of City Hall Commons to rehabilitate and redevelop the historic flatiron-style building.

 As part of the relocation, the following departments and divisions will be closed to walk-in visitors:

  • Central Permit Office
  • Citizen Review Board (CRB)
  • Code Enforcement
  • Mayor’s Office to Reduce Gun Violence
  • Neighborhood and Business Development
  • Neighborhood Watch
  • Planning and Sustainability
  • Syracuse Fire Department: Bureau of Fire Prevention
  • Syracuse Police Department: Ordinance Enforcement
  • Syracuse Police Department: Office of Internal Affairs

All functions will continue to operate during the move period, however temporary disruptions may occur. The City is encouraging those who need assistance to use the self-service options available at syr.gov. The new City offices at One Park Place will provide a collaborative and efficient workspace designed to improve staff work environment and enhance constituent services. All offices will reopen for walk-in service and in-person meetings by Tuesday, August 29th.
