The City of Syracuse Department of Parks & Recreation announced the public bidding process for the expansion of the East Woods Skate Plaza is open. The City of Syracuse is seeking qualified construction firms to bid on the expansion of an existing concrete skate park.
The East Woods Skate Plaza, originally constructed in 2013 and officially opened in 2014, has seen a steady increase in attendance over the years. In 2022, the Parks Department engaged heavily with the local community to gather input and assess the needs of the skate park to improve the overall experience for users.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Engineering Conference Room – City Hall Room 405 and contractors will be able to visit the site after the meeting. Proposals will be received at the City of Syracuse Division of Purchase, City Hall Room 213, by 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
