This project will make improvements to pedestrian facilities at approximately 50 locations throughout the City of Syracuse at signalized intersections. This effort is part of the New York State Pedestrian Safety Action Plan (PSAP). The project locations will receive accessible pedestrian signals (APS) where appropriate, high-visibility crosswalk pavement markings, countdown timer indications, overhead signage, and updated signal timing. All work will be performed meeting current standards and PSAP guidance.

All comments and questions about the project will receive consideration during final design and will be included in the final design report. Please provide your input or comments by October 16, 2024 .
