Overview

SEED Syracuse, Inc., through its affiliate Chimes Syracuse LLC, is redeveloping the historic Chimes Building at 500 South Salina Street into a mixed-use, mixed-income building. The renovations will include 5 commercial spaces on the first floor, office space and residential units on the second floor, and residential only for floors 3 to 12. After renovations there will be 152 residential units and 10,250 sq. ft. of commercial space. The 152 residential units will be made available to a mix of incomes: 1/3 at or below 80% AMI, 1/3 between 80% and 120% AMI, and 1/3 market rate. The building is also home to several telecommunications companies providing residential and commercial services throughout the city of Syracuse.
