The Blight Busting Program is a city-led initiative to revitalize Syracuse’s neighborhoods by addressing problem properties, enhancing community aesthetics, and ensuring compliance with property conservation codes. This program is crucial in improving residents' quality of life while fostering economic opportunities for local businesses, including MWBEs. The Department of Neighborhood and Business Development (NBD) will identify non-code compliant properties and contract with qualified local businesses to complete exterior renovations, including but not limited to addressing siding, windows, porches, stairs, and railing.
