The City of Syracuse (the “City”) is soliciting proposals from property owners and/or authorized representatives of commercial or institutional space located within the municipal boundary of Syracuse, NY to house skilled trades, maintenance, and administrative personnel for the Syracuse City School District (the “District”). The District will be relocating the employees from their existing site located at 200-232 Park Avenue & Plum Street, Syracuse, NY 13204 (Tax Map No. 106.-12-07.0), currently used as a maintenance facility. The District is seeking proposals with particular emphasis placed on those that: 1) provide functionality for all skilled trades, maintenance, and administrative employees; 2) offer accessibility for staff; and 3) align with the City's objective to achieve fiscal sustainability.
The District is seeking approximately 22,000 to 28,000 square feet of flex space, designed to be occupied by up to 150 staff, and including a workshop for tasks such as carpentry, welding, et cetera, and with appropriate consideration for storage, lighting, ventilation, power requirements, and noise reduction.
