The Syracuse Police Department is seeking a qualified vendor to provide medical examinations and psychological evaluations to police and public safety officer candidates.
Vendor shall provide medical services as expected by the Syracuse Police Department, in keeping with the highest standards in Occupational Medicine and will adhere to best practices and will have familiarity in public service and fit-for-duty/return-to-work evaluations.
Vendor shall provide the Syracuse Police Department with evaluations in both illness and injury for a determination of fitness to return to duty, both full duty and/or in a modified temporary position. Additionally, vendor will administer drug screenings and evaluate new hires by administering a full physical fitness examination using the Standards and Procedures for Police Officer Candidates published by New York State Division of Criminal Justice October 2021 and will use any updated guidelines published by NYSDCJS and any guidelines associated with best practices of Occupational Medicine and public service requirements.
