Job Description
The Lead Program Coordinator provides day-to-day implementation of associated grants and funding, including oversight, administration, case documentation, data collection, file management, voucher receipt, program budgets, reporting, and coordinating all outreach and education
Typical Work Activities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable grant regulations and performance requirements for funded projects
- Assess progress through careful monitoring of case status reports
- Proactively seek case referrals from known lead codes violations data from the City's Division of Code Enforcement and the Onondaga County Health Department (OCHD)
- Complete required trainings, including those associated with grant compliance
- Coordinate weekly progress meetings with immediate supervisor, Accountant I, and the Onondaga County Community Development Project Coordinator/Rehabilitation Supervisor
- File reports and respond to requests from regulatory agencies and other partners as necessary
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with numerous city government officials and other stakeholders
- Deal courteously and diplomatically with the general public
- Communicate clearly and concisely, orally, graphically, and in writing
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field OR equivalent years of related work experience which may be satisfied through the completion of an internship, or directly related projects
- This position requires a detail-oriented self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks efficiently in a high-paced environment

- Candidates should be familiar with the City's neighborhoods and be excited to work with diverse populations that may be different from their own
- Ability to prioritize tasks, remain flexible, and work efficiently in a high-paced environment
- Ability to manage projects that involve multiple stakeholders, constituencies, and/or agencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and ability to multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
- Knowledge of grants management software/tools a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in grant or project management preferred
