Mayor Walsh Thanks Common Council for Partnership in Getting VeoRide Contract with Operating Improvements and More Revenue for Syracuse

Statement by Mayor Ben Walsh regarding the Common Council authorizing the City to extend the agreement with VeoRide for micromobility transportation service in the City of Syracuse:

“For many people in the City of Syracuse, especially those without access to a car, VeoRide provides an essential transportation service for work, shopping, and other daily needs. I appreciate the Common Council’s authorization to extend the City’s operating agreement for micromobility service in Syracuse. Working together with the Council, we’ve been able to keep VeoRide e-bike and scooters available in time for the upcoming warmer weather. We also achieved additional revenue for the City and made improvements to how the system is operated for our neighborhoods. VeoRide’s presence supports our vision for a more connected and environmentally friendly city, and we look forward to its continued success in meeting the evolving mobility needs of Syracuse.”
