Mayor Walsh Statement on Double Homicide on Roney Road

Statement by Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh:

“The tragedy on Roney Road is beyond comprehension. The family and loved ones of the victims have been constantly in my thoughts. I am sending them sympathy and prayers. Having been on the scene on the night of the murders, I know our Syracuse Police officers and all the first responders were heroic in their work and are deeply impacted by what they experienced. I ask all of Syracuse to join me in providing strength and support to those most impacted. I would also like to recognize and thank the members of the community who spotted the suspect and called it in. Their vigilance led to his quick apprehension and will ensure he is brought to justice for this heinous act.”
