Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced road reconstruction projects will begin Saturday, August 30, on South Franklin Street and Water Street. The project will include milling and paving work on South Franklin Street from Erie Boulevard West to Washington Street, and on Water Street from South Clinton Street to South Franklin Street. The road will be closed during construction from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with traffic detours in place. Drivers may experience delays and are advised to use alternate routes if possible. The project is expected to be completed in about one week; actual project timeframe is contingent on favorable weather.
