Parade/Public Assembly Request Form

No persons, society or organization of any name or nature shall assemble, congregate, parade or march in or through any of the streets of the city without first securing a permit thereof in accordance with city ordinances. 

A permit is required before any person, group or organization may hold a parade, march or public assembly on a City of Syracuse street. Applications must be submitted at least 48 hours before the event and include the expected number of participants, location or route, event duration and any other required information.

All Applicants must be submitted online through the City's Right-of-Way Permits webpage. Paper applications will not be accepted by mail or in person.

Submitting an application does not guarantee that a permit will be issued. Applications are reviewed to ensure the purposed event follows city ordinances and does not create an undue risk to public health or safety. Permit approval is at the discretion of the City of Syracuse.

Please note that you are not guaranteed a permit by filing an application. Approval of application is at the discretion of the Syracuse Police Department.
